William Richard "Bill" Ahrens , 66, of Houston TX passed away Tuesday June 19th after a short illness. He was born in Houston October 17th, 1945 and graduated from South Houston High School. He lettered in football, was named "Most Handsome" his senior year. He earned a football scholarship to Southwest Texas State Univ. and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He worked in oil field pipe sales for L.B. Foster Co. and most recently for Dixie Pipe Sales.
He is survived by his daughter Lindsey McDaniel and husband Ben of Georgetown, TX. Grandchildren Jack Carter and Emily McDaniel, Three sisters, Jean Ross (Loye) of Houston, Barbara Hardy of Kenner, LA., Carol Ahrens of Lexington, TX. and one brother, Arnold (Sonny) Ahrens (Suzanne) of Houston and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank his Dixie Pipe Family and best friends Kathy and Karen Fabrizzio for their support throughout the years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday June 22nd in the Chapel of:
