Blackburn, age 59, of Houston, Texas passed away on July 8, 2014. Daniel was born in Del Rio, Texas on April 1, 1955. His family then moved to El Paso where he attended school and joined the U.S. Navy. After serving his country, he worked in the furniture industry and interior design where he leaves a legacy of beauty in many Houston buildings and others around the country.
Daniel had an artistic flare and would sing, dance and entertain everyone.
Daniel is survived by his mother, Joyce Mueller, step-father, Frederick Mueller, sister, Debbie Hemphill. Brother, David Larsen, nephew, Darrell Hemphill, III and other nieces. His longtime friend, Fred Balentine, and many other close friends.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Don Blackburn, maternal and paternal grandparents.
He will be forever loved and missed.
Memorial services will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 1801 sage road on August 2, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. Father Bill will be officiating. Celebration of Life will be held at Bayou City Bar And Grill 2409 Grant Street, Houston Texas 77006, after the service at the church. Burial will be august 4, 2014 at 10:45 am at the NATIONAL CEMETERY 10410 VETERANS MEMORIAL DRIVE, HOUSTON, TEXAS
