Daniel Ausencio |
of Tampa, FL., peacefully entered his heavenly father's arms on October 19, 2013.
Daniel is survived by his daughter Jennifer Garza, son Nickolas Garza, and grandson Jadon Garza. Daniel also leaves behind his parents Daniel and Joyce Garza, sister Debi Garza, godfather Arthur Arias, and best friend, Petey. Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved brother, David, and grandparents, Ausencio. R. and Margaret Arias, and Daniel and Lucinda Garza.
Daniel was most proud of his ten years of service as a member of the elite infantry unit; The United States Army Rangers, where he became a member of the 82nd Airborne Division and received countless commendations and awards. The discipline and patriotism he learned from the Army never left him and after being honorably discharged, he continued his service as the founder of the non-profit organization Operation Enduring Gratitude, which seeks to ensure veterans receive the proper recognition and assistance they are so deserving of. He was a member of the U.S. Army Ranger Association and Am vets Post 4 in Tampa Florida. He touched the lives of so many and will forever be in our hearts.
Services will be held this Friday, November 1, at 10 a.m. at Westbury United Methodist Church, and he will be interred in the US Houston National Cemetery amongst his military family.
