David G. Bowers, 90, of Houston, TX passed away on Sunday August 25, 2013 surrounded by family. He was born on May 26, 1923 in Muskogee, OK, to Ephraim and Lola Bowers. After serving as a Lieutenant in the Navy during WWII from 7/01/43-9/16/46, he received a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Oklahoma A&M. He married Ben Lois Hampton of Paris, Arkansas on December 23, 1947. Shortly after, they relocated to Houston, Texas, where he began a 38 year career as a pharmaceutical salesman for Lederle Laboratories. David was preceded in death by his son Greg, his parents and all of his siblings.

He is survived by his wife Ben Lois, sons Gary, Bruce, and Brad, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Spring Branch Presbyterian Church, 1215 Campbell Rd., Houston, TX 77055.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Spring Branch Presbyterian Church.
