Dave gave his family security and a fabulous life. His adventurous spirit and drive taught them to enjoy life and took them to amazing places. Dave was a wonderful mentor and teacher to his kids and taught them everything important and fun in life. They will never fully recover from losing him. Dave also treasured his many, many friends.
Dave was bigger than life, full of energy and enjoyed everything he set his out to do. He was a brilliant engineer, a terrific husband, father and coach, an awesome athlete, a great and avid hunter and fisherman, a natural on motorcycles, successful dog trainer, and a die-hard Aggie. He enjoyed a fun game of golf and was truly an expert skier...just a kid at heart.
He was so grateful and touched by all of the love, prayers and support given to him and his family. He constantly expressed his appreciation and wanted to work hard to return this love when he was well.
We are honoring Dave with a visitation and gathering on Tuesday 5/15 from 6PM to 8PM at Klein Funeral Home - CyFair at 9719 Wortham Blvd., 832-678-3900. Again, Dave would not want anyone to have to put on a suit and tie. He won't be wearing them, and no need to wear black. Khaki pants, golf shirts, etc. are great. He especially loved coaching Cobin's Ravens and Chargers football teams, and Paige's volleyball teams. So have the kids wear their jerseys, "By His Stripes We are Healed " or Camo Crusader t-shirts to the visitation and funeral service.
