DOUGLAS ALBERT GARNETT was born December 7, 1961 in Boonton, New Jersey and passed away suddenly on March 29, 2011 in The Woodlands, Texas at the age of 49. He graduated from Spring High School where he was a merit scholar. He was active in the Boy Scouts and was proud to be an Eagle Scout. Doug graduated from Texas A&M with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1985 and a M.E. in Civil Engineering in 1988. He was a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas. He was a Principal at the firm of Infrastructure Associates, Inc. as Operations Manager for Civil Engineering & Construction Management. Prior employment included Weston Solutions, Inc. and Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Linda Garnett; daughter, Kasey Willis; parents, Albert Cobb and Joyce Ann Garnett; brother, Richard Edward Garnett and his wife Maureen; nephew, Matthew Albert Garnett; uncle, Richard H. Garnett and his wife Suzanne; cousins, James C. Garnett and his wife Dian, and their children, Samantha and Julianne; Carol Garnett Elbert and her husband Miles; Robert H. Garnett and John R. Garnett.
Doug was a true Aggie in the best tradition of the Texas A&M family and he will be greatly missed by his many friends and business associates.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church, 4881 W. Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
