Eugene HANUS Obituary

HANUS
Eugene M. Hanus 82, passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 in Cypress, Tx. Eugene was born in Sweethome, Tx to Annie and Joseph Hanus on November 20, 1927. He served in the Army and Air Force. He also was very active in VFW Post 9187 and served for many years as part of the VFW District IV Honor Detail.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Rosa Petruzela Hanus, daughter; Cecilia Philipp, sister; Valasta Rigamonte, Ella Pekar, brothers; Casper, Leo and Joseph Hanus. Eugene is survived by his sons; Steve, Eugene Jr., Mark and Matthew Hanus, sisters; DeLores Lawrence, Erlane Brennan, brother; Bennie Hanus, grandchildren; Ryan and Shawn Philipp, Shannon and Kelly Hanus, Stephanie and Caitlin Smith , Joe and Violet Hanus, great-grandchild; Elija Hanus along with many friends.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the funeral home from 6PM to 8PM with a rosary at 7PM. Services will be held at 11:45AM in the funeral home on Friday, November 26, 2010 with interment to follow at Houston National Cemetery.

I tried to make it to the roseary but got lost for 1.5 hours.. at 5 min to 8 I found myself at 290 again.. so I went home. My condolences to my cousins. Uncle Gene will be missed.
