Gwendolyn O. Watts Gwendolyn Pryon Watts (83) passed away Thursday March 17, 2011. She was born on April 28, 1927 in Jacksonville Texas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Virgil L. Watts of 61 years, mother Evelyn Pyron; father Cecil Pyron; and brother Corky Pyron. Gwendolyn is survived by her children, son Virgil "Tiny" Watts Jr. and wife Sarah, daughters, Laura Watts, Barbara "Necie" Meyer, and Kathleen Roznovski, four grandchildren, Gwen, Brad Lesley, and Doug, eight great-grandchildren, along with her siblings, Claudine Morgan, Yvonne Kilpatrick, and Howard Pyron, along with other relatives and friends. Gwendolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a gracious and passionate woman who loved God and family. She was a Heights resident since 1936 and a graduate of Reagan High school. Family will receive friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, with interment to immediately follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories Houston, TX. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Americas Team of Compassionate Hospice Care., 2020 North loop West, Suite 140 Houston, Texas 77018 .
