Obituary Condolences

Harold Larkin (Hal) Collins, was born in Houston on February 2, 1924. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the age of 88.
He leaves behind his loving wife of almost 65 years, Jean Miller Collins, his daughters Sherri Chilivetis and husband Bill, Nan Darilek and husband David, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Hal was a talented, giving person. He was a proud, patriotic WWII veteran and an engineering graduate of the University of Houston. His made his career in wholesale auto parts as President of Fred Collins, Co., but his life was centered around his family and sharing his talents with others. Hal was a sailor, square dance caller, aquarium fish expert and above all, a volunteer to his church, the Houston Junior Forum, HISD and many other organizations.
Hal's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service and reception at 1:30, Monday, October 15 at Bethany Christian Church, 3223 Westheimer. In lieu of flowers, please donate in his name to Bethany Christian Church or the .
