Mr. James Robert Anderson 65, passed away on July 13, 2013 at the Veterans Hospital in Houston, Texas after a long illness with cancer. He was born on January 17, 1948 to the union of Mr. Rilious Anderson and Mrs. Weonia Mercier Anderson in Lafayette, Louisiana. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1960. James graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School in 1965. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force. After his tour of duty in the Air Force, he entered The University of Houston (DTC) and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Services in 1982. James moved to Washington, DC and worked for the United States Army and Navy Department of State as a consultant for the State Department of Diplomatic Security for over 15 years. James' final employment was with Computer Science Corporation (CSC) as a Programmer Analyst Senior Professional until 2011. During his life he had many opportunities to travel around the world and some of his favorite Ports of Call were Vienna, Austria; Dakar, Senegal; and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. A graveside service is scheduled for (Thursday), July 25, 2013, at 11:30 A.M., at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas. James was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters; Andrea Jackson of Missouri City, Texas, Kalisse Anderson and Alexandria Anderson of Washington, DC., one sister; Barbara Suzette Anderson of Missouri City, Texas, one brother; Linden Anderson (Nancy) of Miami, Florida, three grandsons, Kelvin II, Jonathan and Justin, and a host of relatives and friends.
