Captain James David Hale born August 21, 1926 in Dallas, Texas went home to be with his Lord on March 20, 2013 with his family at his side. He attended Woodrow Wilson High School and served in both the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army during World War II and Korean War.
The Guest Book is expired.
David was a Captain in the Houston Fire Department where he worked for 30 years, eventually retiring from H.F.D. Fire Station 48. He spent much of his free time gardening, making ceramics, and often he would be on the lake running trout lines or casting his reel for that next big fish. He always put others needs before his own and was always willing to lend help wherever it was needed.
David is preceded in death by his son, Leroy and grandson, Jeffrey Bianchi. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 wonderful years, Melba Brice Hale; children, David Jr. and wife Linda, Beverly and husband David Dougherty, Pamela and husband Larry Clements; and seven grandchildren.
The family held a small private service in his honor. He will be missed by all that knew him until that day when we may all merrily meet together in Heaven. Condolences may be offered at www.millerfuneral.com
