James McAnally Obituary
1922-2014
James V. McAnally, Jr. went home to the Lord on December 25, 2014. He was born to Estelle and Virgil McAnally on November 11, 1922 in Augusta, TX. He is survived by daughters Janet Foltz, Paula Shirley and Julie Whiteside, as well as grandsons Mason Whiteside and Stuart Whiteside. He is also survived by his beloved Mary Bruso.
He was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He worked for Shell Chemical for 43 years. He was also active in Rotary, the Salvation Army, the Masons and his church.
Services will be on Tuesday December 30 at Sunset United Methodist Church in Pasadena. Viewing will be from 10AM to 11AM with services following from 11AM to Noon. Interment will be at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Frwy. in Webster. A reception will be held at Sunset Methodist at 2:30PM.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to The McAnally Fund, c/o Sunset United Methodist Church, 709 Allendale Road, Pasadena, TX 77502.

I knew Jim for those 55 years at Sunset. He was one of the "Sunset Bridge Club" who met several times a month, often at the home of my parents (Chris and Cliff) home. He regularly arrived with some of those beautiful roses he had grown. He was a gentle, caring, lovely man! My parents cherished his friendship and I'm proud to have called him a friend. God speed and lovely travels, Jim!

"Mr.Jim" as he was known to all at Fitness Connection, will be sorely missed.
He was one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, I mean that from the bottom of my heart. He always had a smile on his face and a handshake you'd never forget, he was so strong.
I will miss all the stories of his travels and adventures he had through life.
God called an Angel and He received one with Mr.Jim.
