Jesus "Jesse" Alvarado, 60, of Missouri City, TX, peacefully passed Friday, April 22, 2011 surrounded by his family and friends.
He was the son of the late Jose and Guadalupe Alvarado. Jesse retired from the U.S. Army after 21 years of service as a medic in the Vietnam War and a Physician's Assistant-Certified in both military and civilian life. He was a veteran having served with the Army as a CW3. Jesse was a member of MOAA, Blue Spaders and Society of the First Infantry Division. He enjoyed life to its fullest and loved his family and his country.
He is survived by his loving and dedicated wife Alice; a daughter and her companion, Judy Alvarado and Jay Perez, of San Antonio, TX; a daughter and son-in-law, Kristal and Douglas Huddle, of Richmond, TX; a son and son-in-law, Stephen and Victor Alvarado-Veschio, of Tampa, FL; three grandchildren, Lauren, Ethan and Katelynn; a sister, Estela Lozano of Ft. Myers, FL and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 6-8PM at American Heritage Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 1:00pm in the funeral home, followed by a 2:30pm full military burial at the Houston National Cemetery. Family requests donations be given to Wreaths Across America-Houston (www.waahouston.com) in lieu of flowers.
