John William Anderson, 85, born on February 2, 1928, passed away on July 11, 2013.

John was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He earned a BA in Chemistry from Baylor University, and holds two patents in the Water Treatment Industry. John was a Sergeant in the Army serving in the Counter Intelligence Division, and later became a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force. He was a member of Gray Lodge 329 AF & AM of Houston, raised April 11, 2011, to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.
Survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Esther Lively Anderson; daughters, Sherrie Cousins and husband, Ray, Rebecca Rivas and Kathleen Kimball and husband, Eric; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, a sister, Joy Kingsbury, and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2013 at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in the Waltrip Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
