John Louis Thompson age 85, reeled in his line for the last time on October 5, 2012. Widely respected and loved and deeply missed by all, except the fish at Lake Livingston.|
John Louis Thompson was born on February 26, 1927 to Harvey and Anna Thompson of Waller, TX.
Between fishing trips, he cofounded Chill-Co, Inc. air conditioning and heating. With a bit of help from his beloved wife, Robbie C. Thompson, to whom he was married 59 wonderful years, he raised three daughters - Kay Roach Decell, Sherri Hartman (Chuck), and Sandy Thompson-Newcomb (H).
He was adored by his two grandchildren, Misti Chang (Chris) and Alan Hartman, as well as his great granddaughter, Faith Elaine Hartman and her mother, Hope Hartman. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Thompson of Waller, TX and his sister, Helen Beals of Midland, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 9, 2012 from 6 to 8pm at Canon Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 11:00am at Canon Funeral Home with Pastor Edd Wunderlich officiating. Interment will follow at Waller Cemetery. Pallbearers are: Chuck Hartman, H Newcomb, Alan Hartman, Chris Chang, John H. Thompson, and Kenton Hilton.
Daddy, we will love you forever and miss you longer, your girls.
