Joe was my next door neighbor for the last 5 or 6 years. But Joe was more than a neighbor, he was my dear friend. We shopped together; we went to the movies together; we went to dinner together; we did laundry together; but most of all, we sat in our courtyard almost every night and talked (about everything under the stars). Joe knew a little about everything and what he didn't know, I knew. I sat in our courtyard last night and cried; my buddy was gone. I'm so glad to have crossed paths with Joe and know that one day we will cross paths again. I'm also glad I had the opportunity to sit with him in the hospital and to hold Cindy (his sister) once Joe was gone.
I will remember you, Joe. Until we meet again.

My thoughts and my prayers are with Joe's family.
I will miss Joe's laughter and his great sense of humor and I always enjoyed the times that I spent with Joe. He was a good man and a good friend and he will be missed by all who knew him.
Look into the Heavens tonight, there is another bright and shinning star and that star would be JOE!

Joe and I shared thoughts, books and beer. I will so miss him dropping by my home. He never left without spending at least a couple of hours arguing politics or talking about his book he was currently working on. My heart is heavy for his family. I am glad I considered Joe a friend. Annie B
