Lenore Bormaster Garfinkel, |
a caring, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt age 90, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
She was born in St. Louis and moved to San Antonio to finish High School at Jefferson. She moved to Houston where she lived the majority of her life, before moving back to San Antonio three years ago. Lenore loved arts, music and loved children, and was a mentor and friend to all she met. Lenore was very fashion conscientious and always dressed to a T. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bormaster; son, Harold Bormaster; husband, Kalman Garfinkel; sister, Shirley Rosenblatt.
She is survived by her children, Lana and Barry Middleman, and Helene and Steve Gould; her grandchildren, Jodi Siegel, Mark and Delynn Middleman, and Merritt Knize; and her great grandchildren, Jason and Megan Siegel, Emory and Ellison Middleman, Jacob Goforth and Gabe Knize; stepsons, Steve and Marty Garfinkel, and Rick Garfinkel; step grandsons, Noah and Adam Garfinkel; numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Diana Rodriguez and Sarah Montemayor, and many many thanks to her close friends that visited weekly.
