Linda Dull Obituary

Linda Rebecca Darnell Dull of Houston passed away March 14, 2011. Mrs. Dull was born December 5, 1940 in Hallettsville, TX to Jack and Constance Darnell. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Mike Darnell. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Johnny Dull; her children, John W. Dull, Jr. & wife Christy of Houston, Deborah A. Dull of Houston and Chris Dull & wife Christie of Atlanta, GA.; her 5 grandchildren, Megan, Caddie, Kathryn Mae, Conlee and Cotton; brother, Jack Darnell and sister Bonnie K. Darnell Font as well as numerous other loving family.
Linda graduated from Lamar High School in Houston and continued her education at the University of Texas and the University of Houston where she attained a Bachelors Degree in Education. She taught school at the secondary and high school levels in Houston for many years. After a few years of teaching she focused on raising her family. She was an avid sports fan, you could see her at many a sports field over the years watching her children and grand children participate in sports. She loved a good movie and singing for her family, and most of all she loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.
A Memorial Service for Linda will be held Friday, March 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, 11612 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77024 followed by a reception in the Parlour. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2242 West Holcombe, Houston, TX 77030 or at www.alz.org .
