Lisa Michele
O'Docharty, age 39, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 on Galveston Island. She was a native Galvestonian. Lisa was a leader in her community also serving as Treasure Ball Princess and Momus Duchess in 1994. Lisa, a 1991 graduate of O'Connell High School in Galveston, also received her degree in Marketing from Stephen F. Austin University. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Lisa was employed by the Houston Chronicle for nearly 15 years as a MultiMedia Consultant. She married her husband, Chris, in 2003 and later gave birth to two wonderful children, Dylan Michele and John Wheeler.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, M.J. and Betty Babin; Paternal grandparents, Mary Listowski and Jack Listowski .
She is survived by her husband Chris O'Docharty and two beautiful children Dylan Michele and John Wheeler; her parents John and Peggy Listowski; her brother John Paul and Kara Mullins; Her inlaws. Mike and Sonia Tersigne. Lisa was loved by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and multitudes of friends.
Lisa adored her children, her family, her vast amount of friends and clients, high heeled shoes and long stories filled with "like" and "you know what I mean". She loved travel, Galveston, The Houston Chronicle, dancing, interior design(designer anything), Paris, diamonds, giving to others, laughing and smiling big and the family dog, Sharp.
Funeral arrangements will be through J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, . Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 beginning at 5:00 pm. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 34th Street and Broadway, Galveston Texas with Rosary following visitation at 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 10:00 am. with burial following funeral at Galveston Memorial Park, 7301 Memorial Street in Hitchcock, Texas 77563. A reception will be held following burial at the M.J. Babin, Jr. Knights of Columbus Hall, 501 Delaney Road, La Marque, Texas 77568.
Pallbearers will be Lance Redmon, Troy Schulze, Andrew Woltz, Trey Acosta, Jamie Callas, Ray Callas, Rory Walker, Rocky Vaiani, Thomas Gribble and Phillip Eaton. Honorary pallbearers Carlos O'Docharty, Ginger Farrant, Renee Lindamood, Leslie Cornett, Shannon Bateman, Jessica Warren, Liz Mortenson, Stephanie Colelli, Cindy Mencacci, Kathy Bohn Allen and Kate Allen.
Special thanks to her loving caregivers Marcia Samuda and Sanetta Hinton. Appreciation to Marie Chaplinsky, Charlyn Vaiani and Linda and Butch Barger and Mike and Sonia Tersigne for their love and support during her valiant fight.
