We just found out yesterday of Marty's passing. We were in Italy at the time and did not know. James has been calling his cell phone for weeks and just so happened to look on You Tube and found out. He is devastated. They have been friends since childhood. We are so sad that we missed the funeral and just shock of his passing. Our prayers are with his family and friends. Margaret, if you see this, please contact us.

We are so sorry and shocked to hear of Marty's death. After reading his interesting life story, you realize what an impact he made in the music industry not just locally but also nationally. He was appreciated and regarded as one of the best and played with some of the biggest names in show business. We know he never stopped loving the gift God gave him and was always excited about his music and it showed when he was on any stage. We have respected and enjoyed the man and his music and will remember him as the consummate musician and friend he was. We know that Marty is on the biggest tour of all - and that his new band must be called the "Heavenly Horns". We will pray for his family & his friends that you find comfort and happy memories in the music he made and left behind. Charlie & Lisa Cotrone (Hit-N-Run Band)

We were so sorry to hear about cousin Marty. He will be missed by us all. I haven't thought about him in many years, but for some reason when I got home from my mom's (Chieko Maggio's) house late Sunday night/Monday am, I looked him up on the internet to listen to some of his music-that's when I found out about his passing. It's as if he himself let me know-I can't explain it. We send our thoughts & prayers to all the family & friends who loved him. On Monday of this week I was told by Alton Calvez , a mutual friend of ours that Marty had left us on what I know is his transition to "eternal life" with God. Marty was a "bigger than life" multi-talented, extremely kind and a gentle "boisterous" soul. I am saddened that I won't get to hear or see him again in this world and will miss his telephone calls to tell me what he was excited about from time to time. I know that Marty loved his family and friends and always wanted to know if we were believers in Jesus because I know that he wanted to make sure that we could all be together again! Until then...my friend. Love to Bliss and your family. Campbell Green.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to Marty's family and friends. I first met Marty when we were at Jeff Davis High School in 1968. I was a sophomore and Marty was a senior and we were both in the band. Marty was a terrific alto sax player in both the marching band and the stage band. Some of us would hitch rides with Marty to the football games and he would pick us up in an old 57 light green Chevy. Every once in a while during the drive the muffler pipe would fall off and one of us would have to crawl under the car and reattach the muffler pipe with wire. Those were some wonderful and care free days. After we both graduated I found out that Marty was playing professionally with bands in Nashville. Marty was always so nice and such a fun loving person. May he rest in peace for all eternity.

To Marty's Family and Friends,
Marty, God called and you went, but that's just like you. God needed a special sax player and you answered his call. He blessed you with your great talent and you shared it with many. You will be remembered and missed but you will live on into eternity through the music you've left us. Until we meet again.
