So very much has changed since you've been gone but you probably already know it all. I am now older than you were when you passed away and that is very strange to me. I think of you often and Mom keeps up the picture of you and me when we visited Galveston. Seems like yesterday.

Hey Mike-- Happy St Patrick's Day. A day for the IRISH!!!! Since someone said you were the "prince of the Bronx" Funny I do not think the Bronx has Irish princes, and Ireland does not have Kings and Queens. Well we never know who our friends are. Hi Michael- Happy New Year, time goes by so quickly, I can't believe you have been looking over us for this long. Since you have been looking over me, so much good has happened. I got the job I always wanted,a great house for me and the kids. This year I will be 40, and 7 is my lucky number. 2007 will be the best. Just keep hanging out with Dad and Jack and everyone will be safe, happy and secure.

It has taken me a while to write this message because I still don't except that you are gone. I wanted to send this early because I want to reserve the day for mom. I have done so much thinking in the past year like things that you won't be here for, like to see me get married, see Brian get married, birthdays, holidays, and so on. But then again you will be here to see them because I know that where ever you are, you can see what is happening. You can see mom and see her making you proud. She worries that she isn't making you proud. But I tell her you she doesn't have to make you proud of her because she has always made you proud of her no matter what she does. I am the one that is worried the most, I worry if I am making you proud of me. It is hard to fill your shoes I am trying to take care of her like you would. I know that I couldn't because the only one to fill your shoes is you, she needs you the most. I saw a tv show once and a song played and I thought that is where you are, Somewhere over the Rainbow. Would you do me a favor and every once in a while send Mom a rainbow to let her know that you are thinking of her.

Life isn't always what it seems to be. Words can't express what you meant to me.Even though you are gone we are still family. Many many years ago, Michael and I were playing "Peter Pan". We fell out the window together. Thankfully we were not hurt. However, I thought it would be great fun to tell everyone how Michael pushed me out the window. Of course, that is not true but it made for a good story.
Michael, forgive me.
And Michael, I was depending on you to help me with you "know what stuff" and I'm pissed off that you left us way too early. I know you are in a better place and I hope that in your own way that you are shining down on all of us. I miss you.
