Pat Doherty
Mickley, 68, passed away Saturday, December, 21, 2013, in Sugar Land, TX. He was born October 29, 1945, in Houston and graduated from Kinkaid High School in 1964 where he participated in most of the Houston social clubs. Pat graduated from Centenary University in 1969 and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Pat was a walking sports encyclopedia and was often called upon for specific facts of a sporting event. He loved playing golf with his favorite golf partner, Judy, as members of the Friends & Fairways Golf Group. He was an avid Rice Owls baseball fan who very rarely missed a game. Pat's unique personality developed hundreds of long and lasting friendships with those he associated with, from high school and college buddies to those he worked with and those who participated with him in golf tournaments. He was truly a legend in his own time.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Maggie Mickley; and his brother-in-law, Jim Sheets. He is survived by the love of his life, golf partner, and best friend, Judy Meador and her family; son, Patrick Mickley, of San Diego, CA; sister, Terry Hall and husband, Guy, of Midland; brother, Steve Mickley and wife, Kay, of Missouri City; sister, Betsy Sheets, of Midland; nephews and nieces: Alan Hall, Natalie and Joe Perez, Lewis Mickley, David Mickley, Shawn Sheets, Kelly Sheets, Cassie and Matt Milks, and Karen Cummings.
