Russell Johns Obituary
Russell was a wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a deep love for his wife, Reba Johns. His two cats Kona and Java, were treated as his children. Russell's greatest passion was for technology and photography. You could not walk into his house without being amazed at all of the technical improvements he had made.
Mr. Johns served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He retired from IBM after 30 years and has lived in Texas for over 15 years.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Reba; brothers, Rod Johns and his wife Michelle of Santa Paula, CA, Earle Johns, and his wife Mary of Ammon, Id, and Frank Johns and his wife Marilou of Roan Mountain, TN; stepsons, James Christopher Warren and his wife Melissa of Austin, TX, Patrick Warren of Austin, TX; sisters in law, Linda Purdom and her husband Jim of Friendswood, TX, and Jimmie Lynn Hargrove of Pearland, TX; grandchildren, Hope Warren, Daniel & Michelle Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
A memorial service will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr. Klein, TX 77379 at 2pm on Monday July 16th. Visitation will be Sunday, July 17th at 6pm.

I had the pleasure of meeting Russ at IBM in Santa Barbara. We worked together for many years and became friends. I will miss his style, willingness to help a fried, passion for technology, and laugh. My thoughts and prayers to both Reba and his family.
