Tony and I went to HCC together in the early 1980's, and were instant friends. we continued for years after that, the last time I saw him he was a Deputy Constable. We lost contact after that, but I though of him every once in a while after that, and decided to look him up yesterday. I was very sorry to find this. He was a good man then, and it appears from reading the entries here, that never changed. I'm very sorry for your loss, even though it was 14 years ago.

I was away from Houston when Tony passed, and missed this guest book, but upon thinking of Tony today, had to reopen it.
Tony (Dolfin) was always a gentleman in that good ole' Texas way, he worked hard and played hard. I shall miss his face asking me if I needed anything and taking that chair or basket out of my hands to carry it for me. He was taken too soon; I pray God keep him.
Tammy and Tony's family, you have my prayers and sympathies

I was really sad to hear of Tony's passing. Even though I only worked with him a semester before he was diagnosed with cancer, I have fond memories of him at Ketelsen. He was on patrol in our after school program. His humor and that radiant smile was always a welcomed sight. I know he will be missed by friends and family.

Tony Ray Hallman aka Dolfin of Cork...my Squire...my Kinsman...my "stealth" Protege...my Brother in Rolling Thunder...my Friend...my mentor... So much is owed to this Man...by so many...that his Saga will never be totally known by any one person... He helped so many...for so long...and gave everything he had...and asked for so little in return. Our world is poorer for his passing...but the Gods have gained a strong soul to stand by the side of his Ancestors... Hail the Hero...!

You were a tremendous influence on my life. I will never forget you.

I knew Tony as a good and kind man, always laughing and helpful. His company ever proved kind and made mundane tasks like turning meat on a spit to gathering debris into a chance to laugh and enjoy life.
I lift a glass to my brother, Dolfin, and pray that your soul finds the right rest, the joys of Valhalla. You will always be part of my life, my friend, and I'll see you soon enough. We will take the field and fight and fight. Then toast our enemies one and all.

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6 - 7

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

With a heavy heart I extend my deepest sympathy to Tammy and all who loved Tony Ray. As a young officer in the department we spent many a night riding the streets of Houston, as he trained me and provided me the guidence I needed to become a Sergeant just like him. Everyday, we sat together and talked about Tammy, his Cats, solving all of the the world's problems and golf. All I can say is Tony Ray, a fighter, a man's man and a friend. May God wrap His Loving Arms around you. "Tony Ray"

Tony Ray was part of our family life for several years. The heartbreak of losing him has been eased by great memories. The last time Tony and Tammy were at our home he gave me a big bear hug and said "Thank you Mom". When I ask why he said that,he said for the chicken&dumplings and for sharing Randy with me. He is like the little brother I never had". Thanks to Tammy, Tony's family and friends for sharing him with the Young family. Thanks Tony for being another brother to Randy. Tammy we love you and you are alway welcome to visit the family. Tony will be missed.

Tammy, I am sorry to hear about Sgt. Hallman passing away. Tony and I were promoted to Sergeants rank in the same year while I was with HISD. I got to work with him on the second shift patrol and he will be greatly missed. He had a great sense of humor and he loved life. He was very fond of you and he would at times share the great things you did for him especially your love for sewing things. I pray Gods peace and strenght over you in your time of grief and sorrow.
Sincerely

The last time I saw Tony Ray was at his daddy's funeral. It was the first time my children had meet him. They thought he was the coolest guy (him and Michele in their cowboy hats). All that Brice (my youngest child) could talk about was going to Texas so him and tony Ray could Shoot guns together. I wish that we have done that, but never got around to it. I am glad that my kids got to meet such a wonderful person. I will always remember his crazy ways. They always told me that I acted like a little Tony Ray, I always found that privledge. My Love goes out Michele and Juanita. :(
