Hey Val-
We just got home & my heart is heavy. I miss Uncle E so much already. Yesterday was truly beautiful & it was such a testimony to you both. It was wonderful to see so many friends, coworkers and family members there. I think he would have been very happy with how it turned out! Especially his tree!
Uncle E was my HERO. My #2 DAD! I am sitting here in his UT shirt, smelling his cologne and trying to imagine what complete joy he must be experiencing right now up in heaven. Thank you for being his Angel here on Earth! It was such a privilege to share in and watch your beautiful love affair. He was such a lucky guy!
Please know that anytime of day or night I am available! You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.
I love you tons-
Pam

Dearest Valerie, Chris and family,
Because i haven't been able to be with you in person, I'm on my way to the beach now to collect 6 pack backs of rocks to make a 'bridge' in my garden in honor of my Uncle Ernie. His symbolic 'crossing over' will be in my most precious place in my home - my backyard. Val, i didn't know that Uncle Ernie loved gardening as my mom and I do. I think that she's their with shovel and hoe - all the gardening tools and their mutual laughter and good humor. It seems many are waiting for him with fishig pole, golf clubs, cards and so much other. Please know that you all will be with me in thought every day and that you have another source of strength here in my home, always. I learned so much from my Uncle Ernie and have been blessed for knowing him.
With all my love,
Kim

Valerie,
The 50 plus years that I knew Ernie
will provide enough memories to last
a long, long time.
From his 1st visits to Oklahoma, California and Arizona in the 50's
and 60's to our trips to Mexico and Colorado in the 80's , it was always laughing and joking.
He seemed to be very content after your marriage almost 20 years ago. There is no question that you were
good to him and for him from day one right up to the very end. He was
a better person because of you and
now your job is done and God will take over.
We will all miss him and although he is gone his memories will last forever.
Bless you both,
Al

Val, Chris, Toni, Olivia & Nicholas,
My heart hurts...I shall miss my dear brother. Val, Thank you for loving him so well. You were the bright light in his life. Chris, you were his joy and Olivia & Nicholas were his treasures. I have no doubt he will be your guardian angel. All of you gave him beautiful care & love and a rousing farewell. Being the party guy he was, he loved that.
You all continue to be in my prayers and I love you!

Valerie, you and Walter were so lucky to have each other. I remember having some great times with you both on Lake Conroe. I will never forget the time Walter was out in the boat with me and Bob, when he fell off the front of the boat backwards, with his hat and sunglasses on. We had just pulled up to the island and it was back in the days when the lake was over run with hydrilla. Walter sank straight down into the hydrilla and we all had a good laugh. Walter always made me feel better with his humor about the pig farmer. Walter was a fun guy and I will never forget him, or his and your kindness to Bob when he was having so many problems. Walter is in a better world now, playing cards and seeing family. I am sure he is watching over you also. Love you both, Pam

Walt worked for me as a detective back in the late 1970s on the evening shift in B & T Division. I remember him as a good detective, who always did a great job on cases assigned to him. He was also a friend, and we talked together a lot.
I deeply regret his passing and know the gates of Heaven are open to him now, as he is in a much better place than having to suffer so much lately with his illness. God Bless Him and his family.

I will miss my cousin. I have many wonderful memories of our years together growing up with Harold, Jr.
I am so grateful that I was privileged to spend time with him the last weeks of his life.
Valerie, we are sisters in our grief and will must stick together. My prayers and thoughts are with you and all the family. Chris and Toni,Olivia and Nicholas my prayers and thoughts are with you also.
Ernie was so good to his Aunt Cecilia and I am grateful that she had him in those years after Harold Jr. and H.T. died. He was good to her. He will be missed, but I know that he is in Heaven with so many that he loved and I know that they are having a rousing reunion. I bet that he and Billy Hanna are telling silly jokes right now with Uncle Harold and playing a great game of golf.

Valerie,
I just wanted to let you know how sorry I am about Walt. We have been gin and spade friends for the last 5 years. I feel like I know you. He always talked about you. It's just really hard to believe that he is gone. I will have fond memories of all our games and arguements. You know how Walt liked to argue. He always had comments on how I played. I will be thinking of you.
