WILLIAM MCWILLIAMS Obituary
William "BENE" Mcwilliams, 82, of Spring, TX, took off for final flight upon the wings of angels on Monday Oct. 10, 2011. He is predeceased as of Sept. 5, 2011, by his angel Doris "Naomi" McWilliams, his wife of 57 years. Together they shared their love for family by the blessing of 10 children- LaDonna Holliday (Shawn), Phyllis Warner (Fred), Jim McWilliams (Sherry), Andrea McWilliams, Sondra Richardson (Jimmy), Kathleen McWilliams, John McWilliams, Ben McWilliams, Betsy Hickman (David), and Tommy McWilliams (Jeaneen); 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Bene was an avid pilot where he was known at Delta Airlines as "Gentle Bene" due to his caring nature. Naomi was a registered nurse and loving mother who gave graciously to all. Bene and Naomi will be dearly missed by all that knew them.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2011, at Klein Funeral Home, Tomball, where funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with J.D. Baugus officiating. Interment will take place in Klein Memorial Park, FM 2920.

Although I am not of blood, I am of kin. However I am very proud and honored to have known your Father.
He was one of the most honorable, knowledgeable and respected men I have known in my lifetime. Although I only had a limited amount of time with him and will never know or get a chance to listen to all of his wonderful tales, stories and life experiences, I loved and respected who he was, what he stood for and the way he treated others. He was a rare breed, honest to the very core, and took you by your word alone.
Although I was not one of his sons, I tried to mold myself and my family in a positive manner that would make him as proud to say I was his son-in-law as much as I was proud to say that’s my Father-in-law.
At the fire service we have a saying when we lose someone we love.
"You may be gone, but never forgotten"

I flew with Ben in Houston from 1975-1989 - he was always a real gentleman and pleasure to fly with. He and your mother will be greatly missed - his conversations always included many good stories about about her and his children during those long flights across the country. May God bless your family and comfort you with many great memories during the coming years.

To the survivors of "Bene" and Doris,
I don't believe that either was a member of Delta Golden Wings, Inc., a fraternal group of active/retired Delta pilots. But, I, as secretary, send condolences to each of you on behalf of all our members that either knew of or flew with "Bene" on-the-line. He WAS "one of us" - a proud Delta pilot." We know he will be missed by those that loved him and spent time with him.
May God's richest blessings be with each of you in adjusting to your parent's deaths. Remember all the happy times you spent together and let these inspire you to better achievements each day into your future - in memory of their love of you.

I am a retired Delta flight attendant, and flew with your dad for a long time out of the Houston base. He was by far one of the most wonderful pilots Delta ever hired. His children and his wife were his whole life. He loved everyone of you so very much, and we were blessed to be entertained by his stories! Your father was a great, great man....and I will always remember him fondly.
