Willie "Don" Richmond, Sr. departed this life October 31, 2013. Born in Weleetka, Oklahoma on March 30, 1927, he was the son of Frankie and Ike Richmond. Don served in the US Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. With his wife, Tillie Richmond, he owned and operated Richmond's Egg Farm in Aldine for over 40 years.

Don is predeceased by his eldest son, Willie Don Richmond, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Tillie, his sister Juanita Crossley and husband Bob, his son Tim Richmond and wife Kathy, his four daughters, Connie Shourd and husband Michael, Marva Gurrola and husband Kenneth, Toni Werner and husband Elliot, and Tommye Parker and husband Jeff. Don was the grandfather of Adam, Leslie, Scott, Brad, Patrick, Garrett, Brian, Cristina, Sara, Lisa, Linda, and Heath, and the great-grandfather of nine. Don's family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to his caregivers, Celestine and Vera.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 4th from 5pm to 9pm, with Rosary at 7pm, at Funeraria del Angel, 5100 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral Mass will be held to celebrate his life on Wednesday, November 6th at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX 77018, followed by interment at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060.
