Donald Beck Obituary
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Margaret; sons, Brian and wife Sommer, Kevin & wife Christine; grandchildren, Searrah, Marcus, Ziva, Branson & Damian; mother, Jeanette Carson; brother Barry & wife Shelley & nephew Jordan.
Donnie worked for the City of Pasadena 5 months short of 25 years. He umpired fast pitch softball for over 30 years.
Family will receive friends on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6pm-8pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11am in the Main Chapel with interment to follow.

In times like these, words cannot always make things better. There are no words to express how we feel by Donnie's passing. For reasons we cannot understand, God decided to bring him home. We sincerely pray for the family and Donnie, you truly will be missed. Donnie was indeed a true friend, someone you could joke with, someone who was there for you. Always FAIR never FOUL, Donnie was a pleasure to know. Often being a judge of BALLS and STRIKES always called em as he "SAW IT"...Donnie had many young folks cross his path in his many years here on earth.He always set the PERFECT EXAMPLE. HEAVENS DIAMOND now has the ultimate KEEPER...."PLAY BALL" and of course as DONNIE would want it "NO TIME LIMIT"

My family sends our condolences to the Beck family. My father just ran into Donnie at Walmart a couple of days ago and was shocked when he heard the news. He was so glad to have that opportunity to have a long talk with him in the aisles. His bright smile at the softball fields will be greatly missed. Our family has known him for years and are very thankful for the years he assisted my father with the Parks and Rec. department. May God bless your family.
