Charles Edwin Davis, 79, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was born in Lovington, IL on September 7, 1933 to Edwin and Zelma Davis. He joined the Air Force and soon relocated to Ellington Air Force Base where he served as an aircraft mechanic. During that time, he met his soon to be wife, Virginia on a blind date! He hired on at Baker Oil Tools and proudly made it his life long career and retired as Production Manager after 42 years. He was a God loving man who taught Sunday school for many years at South Main Baptist Church in Pasadena.
The Guest Book is expired.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia of 58 years; his 3 children, daughter Lisa Nelson and husband Eric, sons Donald Davis and wife Candice, Ronald Davis and wife Gena, and grandchildren Ashley, Taylor and Winnie; brother in laws Fred and Michael Gentile.
The most honest man you'll ever meet, the best husband and father one could only wish for and he will be missed by those who knew him and will be adored by those he is playing practical jokes on in heaven.
Service to be held at Forest Park Lawndale Tuesday, July 30th at 3:00. Visitation one hour prior. Family graveside following.
