Martin "Marty" Kingshill, was born on the 10th of September 1933 in Detroit, MI to Martin and Ellen Kingshill. He died peacefully surrounded by his family on the 4th of March 2014 after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke at his home on the 3rd of March. |
Educated at Wayne State University, Marty enjoyed a successful 40 year career in sales and marketing. He was a devoted believer in Christ who was extremely proud of his Danish heritage, an avid baseball fan, a lover of history and New York Times crossword puzzles.
Marty was predeceased by his parents; brother, Bob Kingshill of Houston; and sister, Karen Haynes of Bastrop, TX. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 26 years, Tina Augustine Kingshill; son, Brian Kingshill and wife Diane; their daughter Taylor Brady and husband Tyler; son, Erik Kingshill and wife Cherie and children, Austin and Blair; son, Steven Kingshill and wife Amy and daughter, Megan of St. Louis; sisters, Ellen Nelson and Lois Kohler of Michigan; widowed sister-in-law, Vicki Henrichs of Houston, and numerous loving nephews and nieces who will greatly miss his boisterous laughter, sense of humor, wise counsel and unconditional love and support.
The funeral service is to be conducted at ten o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 11th of March, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston,where we will gather to honor and celebrate Marty's life.
At a later date the family will gather for a private interment in Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop, TX.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that memorial contributions in Marty's memory be made to a Christian
