Roselyn Krinsky Obituary
Roselyn "Bunny" Krinsky passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014 after an admirable life of 97 years. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 12, 1916 to Dora and Jacob Paikoff who along with her husband, Maurice Krinsky, and sister, Sarah Barkan, preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Case Western Reserve University. Bunny and Maurice worked tirelessly together in their business, Beacon Office Supply Co., for nearly 40 years. They were the proud parents of four children, Lewis Krinsky and his wife Ellen, Karen Krinsky Collman and the late Terry Collman, Mark Krinsky and his wife Dayle, and Kenneth D. Krinsky. In addition to operating their office products business, Bunny left an enviable legacy for her family as well as the hundreds of children she taught as a teacher in the religious school of Congregation Emanu El which they joined in its infancy in 1946. She was honored for her service of 40 years as a teacher, tutor and mentor of children. Bunny gave generously of her time in leadership and volunteer roles with Torah Chapter, American Red Magen David for Israel (which she co-founded), Hadassah and Jewish Family Service. Her family, community service and her synagogue were her passionate interests in life. In addition to her four children, Bunny is survived by four grandchildren: Alissa D. Krinsky, Douglas L. Krinsky, Lauren Krinsky Chizner, and Dorey Krinsky Kappel and two step-granddaughers, Michelene Collman Minor and Kira Collman Roach and seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of Colonial Oaks at Westchase for the dedicated care and comfort which they provided her during her six years as a resident. Services are scheduled for Monday, March 24th, at 3:00 pm at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet.
