Theresa Taylor Obituary
Theresa Alba Poythress Taylor beloved wife, mother, and friend passed away Thursday, April 10th, surrounded by her family. Theresa was born June 27, 1928, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Carl and Pearl Poythress. She grew up in Laurel, Mississippi, in the home we all adored on Second Avenue. Theresa graduated from Ole Miss in 1950. In 1954, Theresa married John Taylor. Within a few years they moved their family to Texas. Theresa was a true southern lady; known for her kind and gentle nature. She never said an unkind word about anyone. She possessed a true gift for listening. This gift allowed people to open their hearts to her. These traits made her truly special to all who were blessed to know her. She loved traveling the world with her husband, John. Her legacy will proudly live on through her surviving family members which includes her husband, John Taylor; daughters Emily Incerto and husband Mark; Sara Gellatly; Leigh Wilson and husband Coe; grandchildren John, Kate, and Drew Incerto, Chase and Taylor Wilson, and Jordan Gellatly; her brother, David Poythress; and many nieces and nephews. We would like to thank all of our friends and family for their love and support over the past several months. We would like to give special thanks to Mary Jane Pena and the Hospice Compassus team. A memorial service celebrating Theresa's life will be held Friday, April 18th, 11:00am at Niday-Fairmont Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers visit funeral home website.
