Wilmer Robicheaux Obituary
Wilmer Harold Joseph Robicheaux of Dayton, Texas, and formerly of Houston, died peacefully May 8, 2014 at Liberty Health Care Center.
He was born April 1, 1919 in Franklin, Louisiana to parents Cyrus and Marie Hebert Robicheaux.
Mr. Robicheaux is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Anna Marie Cesak Robicheaux; son, David Harold Robicheaux, and several brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his daughter Frances Robicheaux Lay and husband Toy of Dayton; grandchildren, Tod W. Lay, Sr. and wife Shannon of Friendswood, and Dawn Lay Watkins of Dayton, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.
Wilmer is a retiree from Southern Pacific Railroad and United States Postal Service. He was a member of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in the Sagemont area. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and watching sports on TV.
Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, May 13th, at Niday Funeral Home - Beamer Chapel, with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday, May 14th, at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tod Lay, Sr., Tod Lay, Jr., Samer Adawin, Toy Lay, Dennis Dusek, Carl Watkins, Zachary Lay, and Leonard Robicheaux.
