Byron E. Guess Born March 7, 1942 in El Campo, Texas passed away the evening of June 14, 2014 in Pearland, Texas. He had fought dementia since being diagnosed in 2006. He is preceded in death by his mother Jo Dudley and father Walter Guess. He is survived by wife Nancy Guess, Pearland; son Mike Guess (Cindy) of Katy, granddaughter Chelsea Guess (Karl) and great granddaughter Faith of Katy. He is also survived by his Australian shepherd Sammie. He was Sammie's favorite.

Byron worked as a lineman for HL&P for 18 years. He retired from City of Houston in 2004.
Byron coached little league baseball when his son was young. He enjoyed hunting in Llano. He also loved fishing. He was a NASCAR fanatic and enjoyed weekends watching the races with friends and family.
Byron was proud owner of a 1940 Ford sedan powered by 350 Chevy. He loved cruising around town showing off his car.
