Obituary Condolences

EARL GEORGE RHEINBOLDT, age 89 passed away on July 16, 2014. His wife Evelyn Amelia Roth Rheinboldt, his parents George Rheinboldt and Alma Henry Rheinboldt, his brother Louis Thomas Rheinboldt, his brother Eric Minton Andrews and foster brothers Charlie Petrzelka and Willie Petrzelka, preceded him in death. His sister De Alva Kovar of El Paso, his son Robert Rheinboldt of Houston and wife Patricia, grandchildren Kristine Rheinboldt of Austin and Bradley Rheinboldt of Austin, along with numerous nieces and nephews, survive him.
Earl was born in Spring, TX and grew up in Spring and Cypress, TX. As an orphan the Petrzelka family of Cypress, TX raised him as a foster child along with his older brother Louis Thomas. He left high school in 1942 and joined the U.S. Navy with Charlie Petrzelka. He was stationed at Corpus Christi, TX and associated airfields and later on the island of Tinian. He worked for Big Three Industries/Air Liquide for 37 years until he retired in 1990.
Earl had a photogenic memory and could relate family and area history from his childhood to the present. He loved to garden and attend to his flowerbeds. He was a long time member of St. Johns United Church of Christ.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 12:30 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway near Eldridge Parkway. There will be a visitation on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. (281) 497-2210.
