Rosemary Spencer Thomas passed away peacefully at home on the 9th of August 2014 at the age of 88. Rosemary was born on the 20th of March 1926 in Albia, Iowa, to John & Wretha Spencer. She was a loving wife and mother and was loved and admired by her husband, children and all of their friends.

She had a way of teaching you life lessons from her experiences without you knowing it. You would remember those conversations with her when those situations confronted you. She was always available to listen to anyone who needed someone to confide in without ever judging them based on their situation. She touched many hearts and lives throughout her life. She was a beautiful woman with a great sense of humor who was always laughing and smiling. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 49 years, her husband, Clayton (C.O.) Thomas; parents, John and Wretha Spencer; sister, Earlene Davis, and husband, Ralph; brother, Dick Spencer, and wife, Joann. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Thomas; son, Stephen Thomas, and wife, Joanie; granddaughter, Tiffany Harper, and husband, Jay; grandson, Tyler Thomas; brother, Bob Spencer, and wife, Pat; sister, Carol Maberry, and husband, Jack; and numerous other relatives.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from five o'clock in the afternoon until half-past seven in the evening on Monday, the 18th of August, in the parlor and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, the 19th of August, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, where Deacon Louis Provenzano is to officiate.
Those honored to serve as casket bearers are Dustin Coury, Mark Creed, David Ehrhardt, Jimmy Franz, Jay Harper, Doug Kelting, Spence Nelson, Matt Pace, Perry Thomas, Tyler Thomas and John West.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dave Harris, Jack Maberry, Scott Maberry, David Pierce and Bob Spencer.
The entombment will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
