Charles Barr Obituary
Charles Dean Barr, 67 of Shepherd, Texas, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Charles was born June 8, 1947 in Conroe, Texas to parents, Charles O. Barr and Christine Mae Barr. He worked for the City of Houston Fire Department for 36 ½ years, where he served as a Sr. Captain before his retirement.
Services for Mr. Barr will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cleveland with Rev. Carl Williamson officiating. Interment will follow at Cleveland Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday afternoon at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his sons, Charles Bradley Barr and Charles Matthew Barr, and his uncle Bill Barr. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judy Stimac Barr; daughters, Jody M. Barr, Cody R. Johnson and husband Calvin; grandchildren, Haley R. Price, Brett R. Price and Wyatt A. Penton; step-grandchildren, Silas J. Johnson and Kori Chesson; adopted grandson, Eric Gonzalez and wife Stormi and their daughters, Hailey and Rayne; aunts, Mary Jo Ayers and husband Earl, and Dorothy Barr; sisters-in-law, Fredia Cox and husband, Dennis, Wanda Dabney and husband, Johnny; brother-in-law, Craig Stimac, Jr. and wife Cindy; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and caring friends beyond measure.
Serving as pallbearers are; James "Boug" Watson, Dale Jenkins, Jesse Ramos, Travis Quinn, Kelly Ford, Chris Chavez, David Murphy and Paul Hogan.
