STEPHEN (JUNIOR) DOUGLAS TINNEY, JR., born December 5, 1919 in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Passed away April 5, 2002 in Carrollton, Texas from complications of diabetes. A longtime resident of Houston, Junior was well known in the produce industry and was a past president of the Houston Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association. He served in the Seabees during World War II. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dorothy; sons: Ronald and wife Linda, Robert, Gary and wife JoAnn, David and wife Sharon; daughters: Donna MacDonald and husband Mike, Marisusan Kennedy and husband John; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters: Ella Rita Helfrich, Virginia Hall, and Betty Swearingen; sister-in-law Myrtle Ellis; brother-in-law Floyd Reiland; and numerous other family members. Visitation: 6:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2002 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2002, Earthman North Funeral Home, 5100 North Freeway, Houston, Tx. Funeral Mass: All Saints Catholic Church, 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2002, 215 E. 10th, Houston, Tx. Rite of Committal: Forest Park Lawndale. Service as pallbearers will be his grandsons. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to be made to the charity of your choice.

I know your Father is in a better place where there is no more suffering. I always enjoyed visiting them in the Woodlands with Bobbie when they were there. God be with your all. Nice knowing you all. All thing work together for good to them that love the Lord. Pat
