Charles Bales Obituary

CHARLES F. BALES SR. born in Lufkin, TX. on August 30, 1924, went to be with the Lord on February 24, 2005 in Houston. A veteran of WWII he is survived by his children, Jo Adale Gordy, Vonnie Lynn Bales, Charles Bales Jr., Cindy Drakos, Ralph Bales, Ginger Penn, Carlos Bales, Shirley Van Slyke, Robert Nickens, David Nickens, Paul Nickens, and numerous grandchildren & great-grand-children. A longtime Houston resident, he was active in church until his health declined. Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 PM, Monday at Brookside Funeral Home. Services will be Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery.
