Obituary Condolences

JUDITH YVONNE GROBE passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas after an unsuccessful fight with cancer. She is known as "MiMi" to her beloved grandchildren. Judith was born on January 18, 1945 in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1963 and married Avie Max Grobe Jr. of San Antonio, Texas on June 5, 1965. She became a Certified GraphoAnalyst in 1994 and worked professionally for many years and is the current President of the Texas Chapter of the GraphoAnalyst Society. Judith loved her family, her home, her friends and neighbors and all animals. She leaves behind three cats which she thought of as her babies. She was an active member of the Thornwood Women's Club and served on many committees. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Beversdorf and Kathryn Townsend Beversdorf. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Avie Max Grobe, Jr. and their sons Gary Grobe and Jeffrey Grobe, his wife Dianna, and two grandchildren, Kendall and Kaleb Grobe, which brought her great joy; and by her sister Carolyn Mathis of Kansas and brother Charles Beversdorf of Marble Falls, Texas. Her eyes were huge and black and sparkled with life and had a mischievous glint when she was laughing. Her smile was wide and infectious. No gathering will be the same without her. The family wishes to thank all her close and dear friends for all their support and prayers during these difficult times. Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday June 2nd. The funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 3rd, at 10:00am at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway at Eldridge, Houston, TX 77079, 281 497-2210.
