Obituary Condolences

LUCIAN M. BUKOWSKI, JR., better known as "Buck" , died on Monday, the 24th of August, 2009. He was born on the 24th of September, 1944 in Houston, Texas, to Lucian M. Bukowski, MD, and Beverlye Bukowski Rea. He attended St. Thomas High School in Houston and graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio. Buck was an avid fisherman & hunter with an extraordinary love for the outdoors. He was passionate about his children & family, his best friend and partner in crime, Suzy Simons, motorcyles, Del Mar Thoroughbred Race Track, Golf at the Aviara, fine wines, and pretty women!!!! He was the only male member of the "Beach Girls Club" and was their cherished mascot. Buck will always be remembered as a free-spirit and will be appreciated for his comic relief, his jovial personality, and his lovable nature. His memory will be celebrated for years to come by all his many friends throughout the good old US of A. He was preceded in death by his father, Lucian M. Bukowski, Sr. He is survived by his mother and her husband, Frank Rea; his son, Lucian M. Bukowski III, and wife Sommer; his daughter, Dana Lyon Bukowski, and her husband Keith Graffagnini, his sisters, Beverlye Mueller and husband Buzz, Janet McDonald & husband Tim, Lynn Carothers & husband John Henry, numerous nephews & nieces, and his best friend and love of his life, Suzy Simons. A memorial service will be conducted at half-past eleven o' clock in the morning on Friday, the 28th of August 28th, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oak Trail in Houston, where the Rev. R. Troy Gately will officiate. In lieu of flowers and other remembrances, the family suggests that contributions be made to charity in memory of Buck to Baylor College of Medicine, Brass Baylor College of Medicine, M.S. BCM 160, 1 Baylor Plaza, Houston, Texas 77030 or a charity of your choice.
