Always a gentleman and forever a wonderful host, Pappa will always be missed by those who loved him.
His restaurant in Clear Lake was wonderful. We had many happy times there. We hope we get to join him, and his beautiful wife, someday.

Pappa, we will miss you always. I remember how you made me feel special each time we came to the restaurant. I was greeted with a courtly continental kiss of the hand before we were seated.
Then, always a fond farewell before leaving.
You were always a gentleman, and a great restauranteur.
I wish you were still here with us, but the memories will always remain. Love always,

Dear Franca,

We are so saddened to hear about your dear father's passing. The last we spoke with you he was on his long road to recovery and we hoped that had continued.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. While you are absolutely never prepared to lose a parent we pray in time your sorrow will be replaced with a lifetime of cherished memories.

God Bless,

Stephanie and Bob Wright, Catherine and Fran

Franca, your sisters and family. So sorry to hear about your dad. I know back in Dec. when he was in hospital and my husband Bobby there, we becaome acquainted and talked. My daughter Debra and I were there wishing your dad the best. It was touch and go for both of them. We lost the battle on the 15th. So glad you all had more time with your dad. Had asked Mickey Maddox several times how you all were doing. My best to all of you. Evelyn Wagner

Franco was a strong man and gave his love to his family more than anyone can imagine. I am grateful to have been apart of his life for many years both professionally and personally. The family will miss their "Papa" at the restaurant but his spirit will live long with them and all of the wonderful people that shared his great big smile. His stories of back home and his family will always be cherished and honored in my mind. My thoughts and prayers are with girls and I will be here for you.

I had the pleasure of meeting Papa eight years ago when my business partner and I began producing and performing dinner theatre at Franca’s Restaurant. From that point forward he effortlessly and lovingly made me feel like a part of his family. Each and every time I walked in the restaurant he would always greet me with “Bella, Bella, Bella” immediately followed by a big hug and kiss on the cheek. My favorite memory is listening to his wonderful tales and stories of living in Italy, serving in the Italian Army, meeting Mama, and what brought him to Texas. The Pignataro’s are the true definition of a loving, caring, and adoring family unit that always made him a very proud man. His legacy and presence will carry on within his three beautiful daughters and two grandsons. I love and miss you Papa, but will always carry you in my heart one of the greatest men I’ve ever met and admired. You are all in my thoughts and prayer now and forever.

For only knowing Papa for about 7 years or so, I realized at first meeting how great of a man he was. His greatness continues on in his 3 beautiful daughters. Never have I met a family so caring and giving. I feel honored to have met him and to call the family my friends. My deepest sympathy is with you all, now and for our lifetimes

Papa was always so sweet and kind to all the patrons of Franca's, including myself and my husband. He was always at the restaurant, smiling and greeting his guests like old friends. We know he is with his wife now, and is well and happy once again. Our deepest sympathy to his daughters. We know how much they must miss him.
