Wlodzimierz Puchala Obituary

Walter-Puchala
Wlodzimierz Stanislaw Puchala (later known as Walter Puchala) born July 12th 1933 in Warsaw, Poland, entered into rest on Sunday, January 2nd 2011.
He spent his formative years struggling to survive in his war-torn country while attaining his mechanical engineering degree. Walter's past fueled his determination to not allow the oppression of Communist Poland to keep him from achieving for himself and his family as he struggled to migrate, and establish his life in America.
Later, he relocated his family to join him, mastered the English language, and proudly obtained a United States citizenship. He worked on huge construction projects in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and South Carolina as he enhanced America's energy provision. Walter Puchala was a gentle, kind, and generous man as he often helped those who were in need.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa, daughters: Mary and husband Lech Borowicz, and Anna and husband Dr. Steven McLain; grandchildren: Angela Ardoin, husband Jason Orgeron, and daughter Claire, and Curtis Ardoin and son Micah.
The family will hold a viewing from 6:00 p.m ? 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 7th, 2011 at Forest Park East Funeral Home in Webster, and a Holy Mass at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13th at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent on behalf of Walter Puchala to Our Lady of Czestochowa Catholic Church for John Paul II Hall building fund.
