Robbie Carothers Obituary

Carothers
Robbie Louise Carothers Robbie Louise "MeMe" Carothers, 67, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 17, 2011. She was born December 7, 1943 in Trinity, Texas.
She dedicated her life to being a caring mother, loving grandmother, and incredible friend to those she loved. Robbie enjoyed fishing, gardening, helping others and had a tremendous amount of love for animals. Mostly, she loved spending time with family and her grandchildren. Her sweet demeanor, easy going personality, and impeccable honesty made her an excellent friend and confidant. Although diseases of the body and mind stole her from us, our memories will forever be alive in our hearts. We will miss her beautiful smile, love of life, and gentle temperament.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents, Viola Comminsky and Eugene Carothers; and sister, Geneva Ruiz.
She is survived by her children, Troy Chason and wife Cynde Chason of Galveston, Tim Chason and wife Lisa Chason of League City, Shelly Lindroos and husband Rob Lindroos of League City; grandchildren, Lola and Lance Lindroos ; brothers and sisters, Murrell Keen, Sam Young, Ann Pavalock, Linda Ashley, and Mary Thodosoff; along with numerous other loving family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Forest Park East Funeral Home Chapel, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas, at 2:00p.m. The family will be available to greet guests at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Interment will occur at a later date.

At one time, Robbie was like a second mother to me. I have many fond memories of her! Coming over in the mornings drinking her Coke. Helping us to shred up newspapers to make confetti so we could "wrap" our friends house. And then taking us to do it!! And taking me to the hospital when my first son was born. Too many memories to mention! And being a best friend to my mom to this day! We love you, Robbie, and will miss you greatly!
