Obituary Condolences

William Mack "Bill" Manahan, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 after a complicated illness. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 27, at 1 pm at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, TX. Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: John and Alma Manahan of Houston, Texas. He is survived by his children: Billie Janine Asaf , Ryne Duren Manahan, Corey Mack Manahan and his wife Maria Nela Manahan; his grandchildren: Bryan Asaf, Jake Manahan, Arthur Legan, Nicholas Manahan, Emy Asaf, Sky Asaf, Natalie Manahan, Christopher Manahan, and Katelyn Manahan; his brother Ronny Manahan; his sister, Anna Beavers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill spent his early childhood in Corinth, Mississippi and Gary, Indiana and has been a resident of Houston since 1959 where he attended Spring Branch High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1964 and has worked for more than 45 years in the Houston area in the quality assurance and the non-destructive testing industry. He loved his family, music, his home, sports, and a "damn good discussion" which most would consider an argument. He made all of our lives more interesting with his humor and hard headedness. He will be greatly missed.
