Mrs. Barbara Wilburn was one of the BEST Teachers in the world. She was not only a teacher, she was a mother, a friend & a disciplinary (a very good one might i add :-)) but over all she told you key factors to live by. Mrs. Wilburn has helped so many kids in her lifetime that it would take a lifetime to express our love and gratitude towards her. I tell people all the time that Mrs. Wilburn didnt become my favorite teacher until i took College English. LOL. But it was then that i realized that all of her teachings and words of wisdom were to help me in life and not to be mean. She will truly be missed for there is no one and there will never be another person like "MRS.BARBARA WILBURN"

Barbara walked with God throughout her life. The memory and talent of her will always be remembered by the Davis family as well as the Wilburn family. May God keep the family of this wonderful person.

Ms. Wilburn was a wonderful teacher! While attending Smiley, I noticed she really cared about the students and loved her job. Ms. Wilburn you will be deeply missed! My prayers go out to the family. Rest in peace, Ms. Wilburn for God make no mistakes.

We, the Class of 91, would like to send our condolences to the Wilburn family. You were a great teacher and leader to us. To some you were like a mother because you taught more than just English. I remember sitting in Mrs. Wilburn's class and her telling me that I had a gift for writing and I needed to not take it as a joke or play around with it. I kept those words with me always. Thank you for seeing something in me that I didn't see in myself! You will truly be missed. May God strengthen and bless the entire family during this time.

I know you will be missed. You have giving your all and your work is now done. God does not make any mistakes, he knows what is best. You was a wonderful teach I know you got on me when I was at school, you did not show any favoritism because I was family. You made me get it just like everyone else. I thank you for that. My condolences goes out to the Wilburn and Lewis Family God makes no mistakes, he needed Mrs. Wilburn to continue to serve him in heaven. She was a wonderful person and teacher, she taught all of us to be respectful young men and women. You knew her best, but we here at Forest Brook Middle School cherish her memory. Mrs. Wilburn was a leader and a protector of the school and its dignity. Her funny way of chastizing the children as well as her showing cleaniness by taking home student's wearing apparel indicated her seeing a need and taking care of it. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. Cherish the memories. I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Wilburn at Forest Brook Middle School--she was caring and had a strong tact when it came to discipline. Be encouraged family and realize that she is in a better place.
