Peggy Joyce McDaniel Andrews, 87, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully November 16, 2011, at AlzCare Assisted Living in New Braunfels, Texas. Joyce was born on January 11, 1924, in Cross Plains, Texas, the daughter of Ethel Hester Goodman and Monroe Ellis McDaniel. Joyce graduated from Plainview High School in 1941 and in 1945 married World War II Army veteran Kenneth Warren Andrews who had also graduated from Plainview High School. Joyce and Kenneth were longtime members of the Bellaire Methodist Church as they raised their family in Houston. Joyce and Kenneth were married for 65 years. Kenneth preceded her in death on December 4, 2010. Joyce was also predeceased by her mother Ethel, her father Monroe and her sister Beulah Faye McDaniel Stovall Brudney.

Joyce is survived by her four (4) children, son Tom Andrews and wife Anne of New Braunfels, TX, daughter Kathleen Comardo and husband Mat of Cypress, TX, son Mack Daniel Andrews and wife Susan of Austin, TX, son Randall Andrews and wife Debbie of San Antonio, TX and treasured grandchildren; grandson Corey Andrews (Christy), grandson Casey Andrews, granddaughter Terra Andrews (Jeremy Crisp), grandson Michael Liggett (Karen), grandson Roy Kilpatrick (Kelly), granddaughter Joy Keinast (Rob), grandson Randy Andrews, granddaughter Adrianne Andrews and grandson Sam Andrews. Joyce is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren as well as many loving nieces, nephews and cherished friends who were blessed to know her.
Special thanks to the staff at AlzCare and Hope Hospice in New Braunfels for their loving care of Joyce in her final year, and to Graceland Assisted Living in Schertz, TX. and Clarewood House Assisted Living in Houston, all of whom cared for both Joyce and Kenneth in their declining years. In addition, very special thanks to Tom and Anne for their loving and dedicated support of Joyce in her final years.
