Frank Harold Babbitt Jr., 83, of Houston went to be with his Lord Monday, February 27, 2012. He was born February 9, 1929 in Ennis, TX to Frank Babbitt Sr. and Eva Babbitt. His family moved to Enon, LA when Frank was seven years old and he graduated from Enon High School in 1946 and then earned an Electrical Engineering degree from LSU in 1950. He served in the Korean War from 1950 - 1952. He married Norma Lea in 1956 and was employed by Philco, Chance Vaught Co in Dallas, TX and retired as a Senior Project Engineer at Dresser Atlas in Houston. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Norma Babbitt: two daughters, Alicia Hunter and husband Bill, Julie LeCompte and husband Bill; five grandchildren, Iain, Catriona, and Gillian Hunter, Elena and Brendan LeCompte; many other relatives and a host of friends. A memorial celebration of life will be 10:30 AM Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Terrace United Methodist Church 1203 Wirt St. Houston, TX 77055 with Dr. Allison Cambre officiating. In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorials to Terrace United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Frank's doctors. and staff at Hermann Memorial in Katy, TX for their kindness and professionalism during Frank's several stays through his illness.
