Daphine Kilgore Obituary
Daphine Kilgore was born September 26, 1920 in Cartersville, Georgia and passed away April 27, 2012, at the age of ninety-one. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles; parents Jesse and Maggie Lee; sister Pauline Morgan, and brothers Jesse and Billy Joe Lee. She is survived by three children: daughter, Nancy Broyan and husband Jim, sons Tom Kilgore and wife Kathy, and Chuck Kilgore and Amber Kilgore; nine grandchildren: Clint, Brandon, Trevor, Bethany, Thomas, Vanessa, Amy, Zachary, Tavia, and her husband Jeremy; seven great-grandchildren: Trevor, Jr., and Alexandra Kilgore; Thomas, Robert, and Austin Allen; and Charles and Olivia Prouhet. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Lee, and his wife Charlotte; and sisters-in-law: Naomi Kilgore, Betty Lee, and Betty Ann Lee; and twelve nieces and nephews.

Above all, Daphine was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She always had the softest touch and her most precious gift was the endearing love she gave to all around her. Friends and family were always welcome in the Kilgore home. Daphine was always there to listen with an open ear and provided abundant wisdom without passing judgment. Throughout her life, she was devoted to her husband, Charles C. Kilgore, who always regarded her as "His Bride", even in their 64th year of marriage. Their partnership, founded in unconditional love, created a support system within the Kilgore family which provided security, inspiration, and a "can do" attitude to all.
Daphine will be missed by all, but we know "the angel" has gotten her wings. her departure leaves a legacy of love for which we are all blessed and thankful.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday, April 30, 2012 at Forest Park East Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2012, with Associate Pastor John Pierce of Light House Fellowship of Friends officiating, at Forest Park East Funeral Home.
