Helen Levy Obituary
Helen Spack Levy passed away May 8, 2012, surrounded by her children. She was 78 years old. She was preceded in death by her much beloved parents, Eva and Dave Spack, her brother, Sol Felman, sister-in-law, Marge Felman and brother-in-law, Barney Kurz. Helen was born on July 10, 1933 in Kansas City, Missouri. She grew up surrounded by her large family who she remained close to her entire life, even following her move to Houston. Truly family was her life and she cherished every moment of family togetherness. In 1954 she married Myron Levy and they were married 58 years. Helen's engaging spirit, abundant energy and bright smile will be missed by everyone she encountered. The thoughtfulness she showed on a daily basis made her well loved by all who knew her. Bubie Helen was considered to be everyone's Bubie (grandmother), especially the many friends and family of her children and grandchildren who loved being around her. Even during the hardest times, she radiated warmth and always mustered up an unforgettable smile. Helen is survived by her loving husband, Myron, and her children who adored her, Mitch and Diane Levy, Bruce and Linda Levy, Brad and Malka Levy. She is also survived by her grandchildren who were the pride of her life, Rachael, Tracy, Dana, Haya, Alexandra, Joshua and Sean Levy. Helen leaves a large and loving family in Kansas City and Houston including Elaine and Gerald Kisluk, Morton and Leta Spack, Rachel Kurz, Marlene Capito, Carol Brooks, Sally and Gordon Slabotsky, and Alice Bordy. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, friends and a huge extended family. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 13, 2012, 10:00 AM at the Beth Yeshurun Post Oak Cemetery.
